About Us

IBEW STORY

It's something to be proud of, we have worked on the most significant projects this province has seen in its history. A partial list includes the Upper Churchill Project, Come-by-Chance Refinery, IOCC in Labrador (and Schefferville), Voisey's Bay Mine, Long Harbour Plant, Whiffen Head Storage Terminal, Hibernia Platform, Terra Nova FPSO, Muskrat Falls, White Rose FPSO, and Hebron at Bull Arm.

But when you think about it, that shouldn't be too much of a surprise. As IBEW Local 2330 we are professional and we specialize in complex and demanding electrical work for large industrial and mega projects.

And our accomplishments don't end there. We've also wired large commercial and public sector projects such as the modern Long-Term Healthcare Facility in Corner Brook and St.John's and the Department of National Defence Facility in Pleasantville, the airports and several healthcare facilities in Labrador to mention a few.

Founded on April 1,1971, IBEW Local 2330 has grown to include more than 1,600+ active members and upwards of 200+ IBEW pensioners. In our ranks we are known for our excellence both on and off the job. We proudly include construction electrical apprentices, journeyperson construction electricians, welders, electrician/welders, apprentice and journeypersons in instrumentation, industrial electrical apprentices and journeypersons.

Our goal today remains the same as it has always been, to represent each and every one of our members to the best of our ability with responsiveness and consideration at the individual level and strength at the bargaining table, and in so doing, to secure work under Collective Agreements whereby our members have work.
